Winter is still here!!
Last night LMRT assisted two hillwalkers who became stuck after going off route due to the wintery conditions whilst walking in the Aonach Mor area. The walkers were located, uninjured, by the team assisted by Rescue 137 and Rescue 177.
If you are heading to the hills remember to carry the correct equipment including map/compass and know how to use them. It is still winter up high and you need to be prepared for this.
Whilst involved in this rescue the helicopter developed a fault requiring an interesting recovery operation. For more information follow this link to the local paper the Lochaber News
